In the old days, Bazhang River flowed through Maoxiexing on the south side of Lucao Township. Many hairy crabs could be seen crawling in the village. Due to such factors as the diversion of rivers and the cement embankment of canals, the former habitat of hairy crabs has all disappeared. In recent years, the villagers have grown the forest of whole food, food plants for butterflies, and honey plants, actively practicing the diverse ecological habitat.

With the hairy crab in memory as the motif, the work adopts the techniques of bamboo weaving and sculpture to realistically integrate the scene of silver grass on the mud flats by the river. It records the ecological history and also encourages the villagers to work together and show concern for the sustainability of natural environment.
