The sugar train carrying sugarcane slowly ran on the railway. The sweet sugarcane is so delicious, making people cheerful and mouthwatering. We stood by the railway, watching the train from time to time. When the train came, we chased the train and pulled out two sugarcanes by force. If we made it, we could have a bite and enjoy the sweetness of the sugarcane. . .”
The Tropic of Cancer passes through Shuishang Township, making it an ideal place for the bright and beautiful sugarcane fields. The sugar train running through Tugou and Dalun is loaded with the sweet memories of the elders in the village that they chased the train and stole sugarcane when they were children.
The work depicts the nostalgic childhood in the countryside that the responsible policeman chased a group of naughty children running around with sugarcane in their hands.

Artist Cheng Yang-cheng used iron sculptures to transform memories of the past sugar factory's five-minute trains, depicting nostalgic scenes of children sneaking sugarcane. In a two-day collaborative workshop, the artist guided community members from Dalun and Tugou in creating fern-shaped (Guo-mao) candle holders. Participants learned basic metal pressing and ironworking techniques, and under the artist's guidance, they used their artistic intuition to arrange leaves and design shapes, creating unique small iron sculptures.
